At the DSE conference participants will be able to find out how to apply DATA SCIENCE in business and create value. Conference will take place on June 28th and 29th and will host 36+ speakers, 200 participants and 3 workshops.
Value of Big Data for companies is not questionable, but getting the greatest value from them is something that participants had a chance to learn at the Data Science Economy 2017 Conference, which was organized on 28th and 29th of June in Zagreb. After a very successful last year’s conference, more than 20 experts from region and world presented practical and applicable examples in the fields of finance, trade, telecommunications and the public sector. Their presentations included new insights and knowledge on monetizing data, creating business value from unstructured data, and understanding content through data. At the Conference Marko Štajcer, Director of Innovation and Development from PI, hosted a lecture titled “Data Lake: From Data Warehouse through swamp to Data Lake”.
Most important resources in economy today is data that organizations have. The amount of data is growing (every day new 2.3 trillion gigabytes of data are being created), and few companies know how to use the available tools to take advantage of their analysis. Data, structured and unstructured, accumulates, while only a small part of them is used to make business decisions, business innovation, or personalized offers for real users at the right time. These data can remain worthless or, by using Data Science, can turn into the foundation of competitiveness and successful business development.
Leading organizations have set up a strategy for using and analyzing of big data, thus creating a competitive advantage. ‘Smart’ companies have developed a system for accessing up-to-date data on which they base their decisions and are able to accurately create business forecasts. Participants of DSE2017 Conference will have an opportunity to hear some of these examples.
The content of the conference is tailored for the business audience and participants were able to find out how to utilize data science for data management and making important business decisions through specific examples. At the same time, participants were able to learn more about available tools offered by technology players in the field of data science.
