Conference Goals and Objectives

Almost any businessman is familiar with Business Intelligence concepts and how BI platforms are useful when analyzing large amounts of business data. But, BI covers only one segment of business needs in every modern company. Corporate Performance Management (CPM) methodologies represent higher level of development and implementation of intelligent information systems for decision support. CPM systems are providing help not only in decision making process, they also enable support in planning and budgeting process, and they are used for performance monitoring by using Balanced Scorecard (BCS) methodology. They can also use strong algorithms to forecast results for next periods. CPM process and it's parts are shown bellow:

Croatian CPM market in global perspective is still very small. Almost all major software vendors are here and we have critical mass of mid and large sized companies who have a need for CPM system implementation. Those companies usually have BI reporting and analysis systems implemented, but only a few companies like Lura and Pliva have decided to implement whole CPM systems so far. Their results and experience will be presented on this conference. Sharing experience about CPM implementations with leading Croatian companies will strongly influence further development and Croatian economy position in region.

Main objectives of this conference are to present basic idea of CPM, show experience of leading Croatian companies in CMP implementation in their own businesses, introduce CPM solution vendors and, together with conference participants, work at one CPM Case Study.

About the Conference

This is the first CPM conference in Croatia ever and it is mainly focused on successful implementation of CPM systems in leading Croatian companies. The Conference is divided in four main streams:

  • Keynote Sessions – CPM concepts in practice, leading international experts' presentations (Bill Weber, Executive Director of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals; Leif Edvinsson, guru in intellectual capital area)
  • Implementations – presentations of implemented solutions in Croatian companies by their key experts
  • Vendor presentations – presentations of potential solution scenarios by leading vendors in particular segments of CPM
  • Case Study – all participants who register for Case Study will be divided in small groups and will try to solve a real problem of a company. Every group will present their results to all conference participants. Group presentations and further discussion should lead to the optimal solution for defined problem.
